EXCLUSIVE: Office Office’s Asha Devi Aka Asawari Joshi Admits They Never Did A Retake Even For The Longest Scene

There is a spate of old serials making their come back on the television and they are an absolute delight to watch. The corona lockdown has indirectly brought back the golden era of television, with a shortage of current content, most of the TV shows which were popular in the 90s are being re-telecast.

One show amongst them which is now being aired on Sab TV is Office Office. The channel started airing the show from the 13^th of this month and people are already loving every bit of it. The re-run of the show at 10:30 PM has made sure the TRPs of the channel soar.  The show had amazing characters and a spin-off was also made due to its extreme popularity amongst the Indian TV audience.

For the uninitiated, the show revolved around Pankaj Kapur’s retired schoolmaster Mussaddi Lal Tripathi’s character who narrates his struggles to get work done in corrupt offices in a satirical manner. 

We at Desimartini.com got EXCLUSIVELY in touch with Asawari Joshi who plays Usha madam in the show. The actress is elated that the show has already been getting an amazing response. She stated, she watches the show regularly and it brings back a lot of fond memories, “I remember the days of Office Office like it was yesterday.” Quipped she.

Taking about how adept the cast was she revealed even if it used to be a long scene, they used to wrap it up in just one take! “The entire cast came from a theatre background and the methods we all used worked in sync for us. One of the best parts about all of us having a common root was the fact we used to give a one-take shot for even a 7-page long scene and used to get done with the shift much early.” Asawari mulled.

The actress revealed, she starts to go down the memory lane inadvertently while watching the show, “Watching the show after years makes me nostalgic. While the times have changed, Office Office is a show that will continue to create a special place in peoples’ hearts.”
