EXCLUSIVE: 'Porus' Actress Priyanka Chand To Make Her Bollywood Debut

Priyanka who is more than elated told Desimartini.com, "Our film is a journey of souls through salvation. It's a love story in which protagonists are going through an existential crisis in their respective lives. It's about meeting of souls and separations."

Shedding some light on her character, the actress stated, "My character is very complex and layered one. I am playing a girl, who comes to Mumbai as an outsider to live her passion, but to earn a daily bread in the maximum city via her calling, contradicts her very reality. Who does she become in the process coming out on the other end, is what you will find out in the film. Being an outsider myself in the city with dreams in my eyes, I intimately relate to my on-screen character. Hope the story will leave an impact on the audiences as much as it did on me."

When quizzed about the USP of the film, Priyanka said, "It will be a visual treat for the audience, since we have shot some portions in the real locations during 'Maha Kumbh'. Lives woven in the picture would be another USP. Plus India has become a huge economy in the world, but somewhere it has had ramifications on our moral values, hence our relationships. The exposure of the new economy has twisted our cultural discourses. Is it good or bad? We have kept it open for interpretation for audiences to derive their own conclusion."
