Exclusive: Radhika Madan reveals what Sunny Kaushal was doing right before shooting their kissing scene in Shiddat

The trailer of Radhika Madan and Sunny Kaushal’s upcoming film Shiddat was dropped by the makers last week and it successfully took the internet by storm. The fun dialogues, intense love story and impressive performances of the lead pair left movie-lovers super excited for the film’s premiere. Sunny and Radhika’s electric chemistry and steamy kissing scenes are especially being lauded by netizens, because their characters look very much in love on-screen. Well, Desimartini recently got in touch with the two talented actors for a fun chat about the film, their characters and ‘Shiddat waala pyaar’.

During the interview, when asked if shooting the kissing scenes was awkward, Radhika replied, “No, it was very professional, very very professional. But there’s a funny incident which Sunny is also not aware of. I remember before the scene, I was in my room, Sunny was in his and I was listening to Lag Jaa Gale and all the old Hindi songs, Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo and all of that. And hum dono ko set ke liye bulaaya jaata hai. Sunny ka room mere ek dum saamne hai. Toh mera gaana play ho raha hai, main nikalte nikalte off kar rahi hun. Ussi time pe Sunny kamre se nikalta hai aur uske kamre se awaaz aa rahi hai ‘Aye Brown Munde, Oye Brown Munde’. And I am like, matlab what am I listening to before the scene and what is he listening to! And I was like Radhika don’t even think about it, like just go on the set, do the scene and come back.”

Sunny was also shocked! He shared, “I was just going to tell you that I was listening to my Punjabi playlist fully!” Radhika went on to describe the whole situation in her own hilarious way. She shared that Sunny came out of his room wearing a jacket in style whereas she stepped out in a ‘sufiyana mood’ thinking, “Uff! Ishq kiya hai maine.” However, the actress added that on set while doing the scene, they completed the shot in just one or two takes. Radhika stated, “Kudos to Sunny as well for making me feel so comfortable. He was in the character, I was also in the character. So professional, so respectful. So he made it easy for me, to be very honest.”

Well, their chemistry is evident in the trailer and songs of Shiddat and we can’t wait to see them create magic on-screen when the film premieres on Disney+ Hotstar on 1^st October.
