    Shabana Azmi met with a tragic car accident yesterday at the Pune-Mumbai expressway. Her car had rammed into a truck and the actress sustained some major head injuries. Javed Akhtar was also with her in the car, but he escaped with minor injuries. The actress was rushed to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. The hospital has released statement that the actress is stable and under observation and an FIR has been lodged against the driver of her car.

    As soon as the news of the accident has spread, celebs had rushed to the hospital to be by her side. Javed Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar rushed to Kokilaben Hospital. Apart from them, Tabu and Farah Naaz too arrived. Anil Kapoor and Satish Kaushik too were seen. Check out the pictures here:

    Many celebs also took to Twitter to express their concern. In fact, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished for her speedy recovery. She has sustained some head injuries and part of her backbone has fractured, but she is now stable.  We hope that she gets well soon and is discharged from the hospital.
