Fatima Sana Shaikh walks out of Aruvi remake, problem with dates is the reason?

The remake of the Tamil film Aruvi had been on the cards for a long time. It was earlier this year that the official announcement was made. Fatima Sana Shaikh was given the lead role and the film was to be directed by E Niwas. But looks like, this movie will now undergo some major changes as Fatima Sana Shaikh seems to have walked out of the project!

Yes, you read that right. If a report in ETimes is to be believed, then Fatima is no longer a part of the project. The report says that despite E Niwas and the makers trying their best to retain her, Fatima decided to say goodbye to the film. The reason seems to be date clash. The film was to go on floors in August this year, but it was delayed. The new date was of November, and Fatima could not manage to accommodate the film.

Earlier, speaking about the film, Fatima had said in a statement, “I am so thrilled to do the remake of ‘Aruvi’ and really looking forward to diving deep into the skin of the character. I am really glad that Applause Entertainment and Faith Films have come together with E Niwas to make this great content and I am really excited to embark on this journey.”

The original film was a hit and was headlined by Aditi Balan. Now with Fatima out of the scene, it looks like the makers would have to start from scratch!
