    Popular Pakistani actor Fawad Khan seems to be ready to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with the upcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvel. Reports of the actor featuring in the project have gone viral after his name was featured in the cast on the IMDb page of the series.

    Ms. Marvel which will be MCU’s first outing with a Muslim superhero in their big diversification agenda will see a host of actors of South Asian origin featuring in the series and Fawad Khan will be one of them.

    BBC entertainment journalist, Haroon Rashid drew attention to the Ms. Marvel IMDb page with a tweet after he noted Fawad’s presence there. “Wow! Fawad Khan set to appear in Ms. Marvel – the Disney+ series about Marvel’s first titular Muslim character. He’s listed on the show’s official IMDb page. Farhan Akhtar, Nimra Bucha and Samina Ahmad are reportedly part of the cast too. Marvel yet to comment. Amazing if true,” he wrote.

    A few months ago news of Farhan Akhtar joining an MCU project had also gone viral. While the details of the project and its name were not divulged the actor had flown to Bangkok to shoot for his part.

    Ms. Marvel will be led by Canadian actress, Iman Vellani who plays Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teen who idolizes Captain Marvel.
