And now, an F.I.R has been filed against these celebs for writing the open letter! According to the complainant, it was done because these celebs "tarnished the image of the country and undermined the impressive performance of the prime minister" besides "supporting secessionist tendencies".

The F.I.R was lodged by Sudhir Kumar Ojha, who is a local advocate. An order was passed by the Chief Judicial Magistrate Surya Kant Tiwari two months ago on a petition filed by Sudhir, post which the F.I.R was lodged at Sadar Police Station! According to the Police, The F.I.R has been lodged against sections of the IPC relating to sedition, public nuisance, hurting religious feelings and insulting with intent to provoke breach of peace.

Right after the letter was submitted by 49 film personalities, a counter letter was given buy others like Kangana Ranaut and Prasoon Joshi.
