Forget Mental Hai Kya, Kangana Ranaut Reveals This Was The Original Title Of The Film

The trailer of Judgemental Hai Kya is finally out! The movie is starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles, the film is quite amusing with an adventurous twist to it.

Judgemental Hai Kya is a murder mystery which is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi. While the film has been in the news right from the start, it has been facing a lot of controversies after the makers revealed its first poster. Various objections were raised to its title Mental Hai Kya and almost after a month, the makers decided to change the title of the film to Judgemental Hai Kya.

But as per reports, Kangana interacted with the media reporters present at the trailer launch and told that the film was initially titled Bobby, which was based on the name of her character.

The actor also revealed that she felt a certain connection with the film's story and told the reporters, "When Kanika Dhillon offered the film to me, it was actually called Bobby. So I didn't do it with any prejudice in my head."

Kangana then responded to all the controversies surrounding its title Mental Hai Kya at the trailer launch. Kangana said that earlier Kick was to be titled Mental, but because this film has Kangana in the lead, people have issues with it. She added "But the point is when Kangana Ranaut is there in a film, people always have a problem."

For the people who are unaware, the makers of the film met with the Central Board of Film Certification earlier this week. Kangana told that several notices were issued from All India Psychiatry Department and since it's a government body, it needs to be respected.

Kangana said that All India Psychiatry Department was impressed with the film passed it with no cuts, they only asked them to avoid using the word 'mental'.

Kanga also added in a statement that "Since last year, there were a few specific words that the Board has deemed problematic. Words like ‘Pagla,’ ‘Paagal’ must be avoided. Now, it’s different from what it was earlier. We have made this film very responsibly and there’s nothing derogatory about it. Even the Censor Board watched the whole film and felt the same. The problem was only the title and it’s just a few weeks before the release. We had to figure a new title, get it registered and then get a certificate. So this was a long procedure. It took a week to ten days so the only thing we feel bad about is the delay it has caused. We couldn’t release any unit because of this,"

As the censor board has given the Judgemental Hai Kya a clean chit and it has outgrown all the controversies. We can’t wait to see what reaction does the film will have at the box office. The film is all set to release on 26th July
