Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 Preview: Things Look Ominous And Tense As Westeros Gears Up For The Last War

To be perfectly honest, we are still reeling under the effect of last week’s episode. A war scene of that scale and magnitude has rarely been seen in any show, let alone just Game of Thrones. It was surely an episode that will be etched in our memories for while and it is perhaps for the same reason that this week’s episode seemed a little underwhelming.

However, for the next episode, it looks like we are in for another epic battle scene. After Cersei captured and beheaded Missandei, Daenerys and Grey Worm shot her a look that we have seen when Daenerys literally made the city of Meeren in Essos bend its knee to her. We have seen how cruel and heartless Daenerys can be when she people close to her are hurt and we can only imagine what Dany would do to Cersei for killing one of her most trusted aids and lets not forget that Missandei was also the love of life of Grey Worm who is probably one of the most deadliest and skilled warrior in the show.

The preview gives us glimpses of what is to come and we again see Jon and others sucked into the battle scene, this time to defeat Cersei in King’s Landing and deliver what he promised to Dany.

But with two dragons gone and half their armies wiped out, Daenerys and his allies are obviously at a disadvantage and with the Iron Fleet and the 20,000 men from Golden Company the odds are stacked majorly in the favor of Euron and Cersei, but Euron’s stunned and somewhat scared expression in the promo is confusing us.

The race to the finish line has begun and from the preview it is clear that episode 5 is going to be another heart-stopping episode of the show.
