Sanjay Leela Bhansali seems to be making headlines everyday. Yesterday, he was in the news after he had decided to demolish the sets of Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi as shoot would not be resuming anytime soon. Today, he has better news to share. He and his production house, Bhansali Productions, have won the case against Eros International and would be receiving Rs. 19.39 lakhs from the latter.

Bhansali had moved the Bombay High Court when a merger between Eros International and Hollywood’s STX Filmworks happened. SLB moved the court against Eros to restraint it from selling, licensing, distributing and exploiting the 2013 film starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Eros International said that there wasn’t any urgency in the process. However, the court ruled in favour of Bhansali and Eros now has to pay him Rs. 19.39 lakhs.
Well, Bhansalihas been facing problems in the professional front of late. His film Padmaavat courted huge controversies, but finally went on to become a superhit. His film with Salman Khan, Inshallah, had been indefinitely shelved and now, due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the sets of his upcoming film, Gangubai Kathiawadi, had to be demolished and he incurred a heavy loss.
