Govinda’s wife Sunita: ‘Whenever we appear on The Kapil Sharma Show, Krushna says something about us for publicity’

Back in 2016, Krushna Abhishek and his superstar uncle Govinda had a major fallout after the latter chose to promote his film on Kapil Sharma’s show instead of Krushna’s Comedy Nights Live. Two years later, Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja got offended by a tweet shared by Krushna’s wife Kashmera Shah about ‘people who dance for money’. Well, years have passed but the two families still don’t see eye to eye. In fact, recently Krushna skipped the shoot of an episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, which featured his mama-maami. In an interview, he stated that both parties don’t wish to share a stage.

Sunita has now reacted to the same in an interview with ETimes. She shared that last year Govinda had taken an oath to never discuss family issues in public and he kept his promise. But she now feels the need to talk about this entire issue openly. Sunita was quoted saying, “Whenever we appear on the show, he says something about us in the media just for publicity. Kya faayda hai yeh sab bol kar? It makes no sense to discuss a family matter in public. Govinda may not respond or retaliate, but it upsets and infuriates me. Uske bagair bhi toh hamaara show hit hota hi hai, aur yeh wala bhi hoga.” She added, “He keeps saying, ‘ Mera mama yeh, mera mama woh’. Is he not talented enough to give a hit show without using mama’s name?”

Talking about reconciliation, Sunita stated that it will never happen. She recalled how three years ago she had said that things won’t be resolved till the time she is alive. The star wife explained, “You can’t misbehave, insult or take liberties in the name of family. Humne paal pos kar badha kiya hai toh sar par chadh jaayenge aur badtameezi karenge. We have raised them and are not living off them. What if we had asked Krushna to leave the house after my mother-in-law passed away? Jinhone inko paal pos kar bada kiya yeh unhi ke saath badtameezi par utar gaye hain. All I can say is that the issues will never get resolved and I don’t want to see his face ever again in my life.”

Well, as they say, every family has its own set of issues. Let’s hope with time things can get better for all.
