Gulabo Sitabo: Amitabh Bachchan Opens Up About Working With Ayushmann Khurrana, Juhi And Shoojit Sircar

Two of the most talented and adored actors of the Hindi film industry, Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana are all set to win hearts with their hilarious banter in Gulabo Sitabo, directed by Shoojit Sircar and written by Juhi Chaturvedi. While superstar Big B will be playing the role of a landlord, the gifted Ayushmann will portray the character of his tenant, who is not ready to leave the house or pay more rent. Their on-screen chemistry in the trailer was absolutely fantastic and Big B felt it was a privilege to team up with Ayushmann. He recently shared that he’s a big fan of his co-star’s work and called Ayushmann a ‘distinguished talent’.

In a recent chat with Mid-Day, Big B also opened up about working with the dynamic director-writer duo and shared, “Reuniting with Juhi and Shoojit is like driving a car. You live in Mumbai all your life and learn how to drive in the city; you are familiar with the traffic, the rules and regulations. Suddenly, you are asked to drive in Delhi. You don't forget how to drive, but it takes time to get familiar with the streets and the rules.” The two have given us masterpieces such as Vicky Donor, October and Piku in the past and Gulabo Sitabo is expected to be another feather in their cap.

The film was initially slated to release in theatres, but will now premiere on Amazon Prime on 12^th June due to the extended coronavirus lockdown. However, it doesn’t really bother the superstar who joked, “I don't understand what OTT stands for. For me, it has always been O-T-Teri. Sorry, that was a bad one.”
