After leaving the audience in awe with super hits like Vicky Donor, Piku and October, filmmaker Shoojit Sircar and writer Juhi Chaturvedi joined forces once again for the much-awaited comedy drama Gulabo Sitabo. Set in Lucknow, the film follows the life of a priceless jodi— a grumpy landlord played by Amitabh Bachchan, and his quirky tenant portrayed by Ayushmann Khurrana. Their story is one of a kind and so is their on-screen chemistry.

The trailer of the film received a big thumbs up and the first track Jootam Phenk left fans impressed. Much to our delight, makers dropped yet another song from Gulabo Sitabo today, titled Madari Ka Bandar. Helmed by Dinesh Pant, Anuj Garg, and Tochi Raina, the mesmerizing lyrics and the soothing music of the folk song will leave you enchanted. The chorus ‘Banke madari ka bandar, dugdugi pe nache sikandar’ will make you realize how we are all just dancing to the tunes of life. Another verse that strikes a chord is: ‘Moh maaya ne uljhaya is farebi jaal mein, khaare paani mein dhoondhe meetha samandar’.

While the music video of Madari Ka Bandar is simple and sweet, Ayushmann and Amitabh’s impeccable expressions help us see them as the characters that they are playing and not the superstars that they actually are. They have done a wonderful job and once again the dynamic director-writer duo, Shoojit and Juhi, brought out the best in them.

Gulabo Sitabo will be premiering on Amazon Prime on 12th June 2020. It was initially supposed to hit theatres on 17th April, but the decision to release it on an OTT platform was taken due to the extended coronavirus lockdown.
