Gully Boy Fame Siddhant Chaturvedi Is Yuvraj Singh’s Second Choice For His Biopic, Here's His First Pick

The extremely handsome and mega-talented Siddhant Chaturvedi left the audience in awe with his glorious debut performance in Zoya Akhtar’s critically acclaimed Gully Boy, also featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. He stole the show along with many hearts and bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. He not only garnered a huge fan following but also became one of the most promising and sought-after newcomers of Bollywood. Turns out he impressed ace cricketer Yuvraj Singh, too, with his acting skills and charm.

In a recent chat with DNA, when Yuvraj was asked who should star in his biopic, the cricketer revealed that he himself is the first choice. However, he went on to take Siddhant’s name. He said, “Probably, I’d play myself — that would be a bit desperate… (chuckles) hai na? See, that’s the director’s job to decide. If it’s going to be a Bollywood film, then Siddhant Chaturvedi — the guy who played MC Sher in Gully Boy (2019) — is a good option; I’d love to see him in the film.”

Interestingly, Siddhant has portrayed the role of a rookie fast bowler in the popular web series Inside Edge and was praised for his performance. It will be quite interesting to see him play the character of the all-rounder. Meanwhile, the actor is currently busy gearing up for his next, titled Bunty Aur Babli 2, and will soon begin shooting for Shakun Batra’s untitled project with Deepika Padukone and Ananya Panday.
