Guns Of The North: Aayush Sharma-Salman Khan Starrer Will Now Have Mahesh Manjrekar As The Director

The plans for Guns of the North are in full swing. Yes, we are talking about the Mulshi Pattern remake that will have Aayush Sharma as a gangster and Salman Khan as the cop. Now, the film seems to have found a new director.

If a report in Mirror is to be believed, then Mahesh Manjrekar would now be helming the film. The film was earlier being directed by Abhiraj Minawala, who had earlier directed Aayush and Wareena Hussain starrer LoveYatri. When he left the film, Mahesh Manjrekar filled in his shoes. It is interesting to note that Mahesh was a part of Mulshi Remake and was the one who suggested the idea of a Bollywood remake of the film to Salman. He would have extensive workshops with Aayush Sharma from October.

It is also being said that Salman Khan's role was reworked from an extended cameo to a full-fledged role during the lockdown. However, the entire team decided to go back to the original script after the last narration. A source said, "during the final narration last month, both Salman and his team acknowledged that reworking the script had taken away the essence of the Marathi film, which is a rustic gangster drama set in the heartland. And it was decided that he would drop out as an actor from the film and they would stick to the original script."

It would be interesting to see how Mahesh Manjrekar would implement his vision of the film.
