Has Alia Bhatt Backed Out Of S.S. Rajamouli's RRR After The Film's Shoot Gets Stalled? Here's What We Know

As coronavirus outbreak has brought the world to a standstill the filmmaking business has taken quite a big hit amidst this lockdown. As shoots remain suspended S.S. Rajamouli’s next big project after Baahubali, RRR which was filming in Pune has also been postponed for now. Following this news was also the rumour that Alia Bhatt who plays a crucial part in this Telugu drama has walked out due to date issues.

It was reported that since Alia also has to give dates to Gangubai Kathiawadi and Takht the actress has decided to pull out of N.T.R. Jr. and  Ram Charan starrer film. However, it now seems at that all such reports were after all just rumours as a source close to the project informed IBT that the actress is very much a part of the project and as things go back on track Alia would rejoin the shoot in May.

"Alia is working for RRR and she will be joining the sets of the film in the month of May. 75 per cent of the film has been completed already and Alia plays the key role in the remaining 25 per cent. The film is shaping up really well and makers are happy with it,” the source said.

RRR is a period drama which is slated to release in 2021 and will mark Alia Bhatt’s debut in Tollywood.
