Have Dostana 2 Makers Finally Found Kartik Aaryan’s Replacement? Here's What We Know

A few days ago it was reported that Kartik Aaryan is no longer a part of the much awaited romantic comedy Dostana 2. While fans kept hoping that these were just rumors, their hearts were broken when Karan Johar’s production house Dharma shared an official statement about recasting the Collin D'Cunha directorial. The new question on our minds was-- who will replace Kartik? Well, since morning many names have been doing the rounds including that of Rajkummar Rao and Varun Dhawan’s. Buzz also stated that KJo has personally requested Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar to take up the role.

However, the latest report in Pinkvilla suggests that none of the actors have been approached by the makers yet. A source was quoted saying, “Producer Karan and director Collin haven’t reached out to any actor as yet for Dostana 2. In fact, some are even saying that Varun Dhawan has been approached for the same, but there’s no truth to that. They might reach out to some of these actors later but for now Collin is focusing on fine tuning the script. They will look at casting in some time.”

While some reports claimed that Kartik was being fussy about the dates and was dropped due to alleged unprofessional behavior, many others suggested that he walked out because of creative differences. Some even guessed that it had something to do with his rumored break up with Dostana 2 star Janhvi Kapoor. Well, guess we’ll never know the real reason behind Kartik’s exit.
