Janhvi Kapoor has been winning hearts with her social media posts since the last few weeks. After spending some time in US with her sister Khushi Kapoor, she jetted off to Maldives and then to Goa with her team for a workation. She will soon resume shooting for her upcoming films, which includes the Hindi remake of National award winning Malayalam survival thriller Helen. Produced by her filmmaker father Boney Kapoor, the film will feature Janhvi as a working class girl who ends up locked inside a freezer at a supermarket.

The latest report shared by Spotboye revealed that while director Mathukutty Xavier initially thought of casting Janhvi’s father Boney as her reel-life dad, he decided to skip the idea as it felt ‘too gimmicky’. Well, the role has now gone to the very talented and extremely versatile Manoj Pahwa. We can’t wait to see him shine on-screen with Janhvi by her side. To make sure that her performance is convincing, Janhvi will prepare for the film by experiencing first hand trauma and spending time in isolation.

Other than Helen, Janhvi has many other exciting projects in her kitty including Karan Johar’s Dostana 2, which is a quasi sequel to his 2008 film, and Aanand L. Rai’s Good Luck Jerry, a Hindi adaptation of the 2018 Tamil film Kolamavu Kokila.
