    The venture is going to bring together Mrunal Thakur who would be playing the role of Sivagami and Rahul Bose who would be playing the character of Skandasasa. Other actors like Atul Kulkarni, Vaquar Shaikh, Siddharth Arora, Jameel Khan and Anup Soni will also be a part of the cast. The series is being produced by Prasad Devineni and would be directed by Praveen Sattaru and Deva Katta.

    The series is based on Anand Neelakantan bestselling novel The Rise of Sivagami. It will trace the journey of Sivagami from a rebellious girl to the wise queen. The events will be set around 50 years before the events of the first film and will focus mostly on Sivagami and the life in the fictional kingdom of Mahishmati.
