Here Are The Controversies Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika Has Already Landed In To Before Release!

Manikarnika has been making headlines ever since its inception. With Kangana Ranaut making an elaborate event before the film went on floors, it surely grabbed many eyeballs. Who does not remember Kangana taking a dip in Ganga in Varanasi.

The film is right now being made and the leaked pictures have made us even more impatient. But looks like the film is not going to release anytime soon. And with more controversies that the film is getting into, we are not sure when it will see the light of the day.

Well, let us have a look at some of the controversies that they have gotten into:

    1. The continuous delays

The film was scheduled to release in August this year. It was delayed to November and then it was finally scheduled to clash with Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 on Republic Day 2019. But we are not sure if that date will be maintained, mainly with more ensuing controversies.

    2. The change of director

With the sudden delays, the director of the film, Krish Jagarlamudi, had to go from the film since he had made commitments for the NTR biopic. The main controversy arised as a clap board with Kangana's name as the director went viral.

She and her team issued an explanation and said,

"Krish Jagarlamudi is the director of #Manikarnika and will remain so. #KanganaRanaut has stepped in to shoot just the patchwork on his behalf while he fulfills his commitments in another movie, to make sure that #Manikarnika releases on 25th Jan 2019. The clapboard is merely to avoid on set confusion".

    3. Sonu Sood walking away from the project

The latest controversy surrounding the film is that Sonu Sood, who was playing an important character in the film, decided to exit from the film. A source was quoted saying,

"Yes, Sonu has left the film. He is no longer a part of ‘Manikarnika’. And he has informed the film’s producers of his decision. He took a lot of crap from a person who feels she knows how to direct a film without any real qualification to do so. But finally, when Kangana Ranaut officially took over the direction, Sonu could take it no more. He quit the film.”

He had even shot many scenes. Talking about whether there was some fight between the two, Kangana said,

"Sonu and I haven't even met since the last shot with Krish (director) last year. He is busy filming Simmba. He couldn't even give us tentative dates to match combinations with other actors. The producers showed him the film and writers narrated the patchwork to him...he refused to meet me ...he vehemently denied to work under a woman director..... which is kind of amusing because Sonu is a dear friend and I have even launched the music of a film that he produced on his request..... even though the team suggested that they have full faith in me, it seems, Sonu had neither dates nor faith."

Talking about whether Sonu's scenes will be reshoot, Kangana added,

"Yes, none of the portions he has shot before will be used because he has spiked hair with gel in his hair (for Manikarnika)..so the new team of DOP and editors and our writers of Manikarnika have discarded those scenes so I have to shoot all of that anyway so it’s easy to get another actor on board. Who keeps spiked hair for a period film?"
