    Oh Stree Kal Aana

The trailer of Stree hit yesterday and man, it was actually great. Not just did the trailer had an impeccable Rajkummar Rao and a gorgeous Shraddha Kapoor, but the USP of the trailer was the super funny dialogue delivery, mostly by Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi. The trailer was a laughter riot, but one cannot ignore the element of fear that it had.

The trailer explained about Stree, who would hunt for men at night. She would call the name of a man from behind and if he responds and turns around, there would be no trace left of him except his clothes. Stree is believed to be the soul of a very beautiful prostitute who wanted true love.

Even though the fun element is there, one cannot deny the true urban legend that runs in the backdrop. There is actually an urban legend that gripped Karnataka with fear in the 90s. We are talking about 'Nale Ba'.

Here's The Ridiculously True Story Behind Rajkummar Rao- Shraddha Kapoor's Stree!

According to this legend, a witch roamed around in Karnataka in the 90s. She would knock every door and call out the name of the residents in the voice of their kin. Whoever opened the door would be found dead.

The residents found relief by writing 'Nale Ba' on the walla of their houses. Nale Ba means come tomorrow in Kannada. The witch would see it and go away and the cycle would be repeated.

While the legend is not followed in its exactness, the myth of the Stree is close and is given a hilarious twist.
