Heropanti 2: Katrina Kaif Or Sara Ali Khan To Star Opposite Tiger Shroff In The Action Entertainer?

After winning hearts with his spectacular performance and solid action sequences in War and Baaghi 3, Tiger Shroff announced his next project Heropanti 2, a sequel to his debut film of the same name. Produced by Tiger’s mentor Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by filmmaker and choreographer Ahmed Khan, the action entertainer was scheduled to hit theatres on 16^th July 2021. While two rocking posters were shared on social media, no further details were revealed. In fact, fans were not even sure if Kriti Sanon, who also made her debut with Heropanti, will be a part of the project or not.

Well according to the latest report shared by Pinkvilla, Katrina Kaif and Sara Ali Khan are the top contenders who are being considered to star opposite Tiger. A source revealed, “It's a toss up between Sara Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif for the main heroine's role. Unlike Heropanti, the second part will be mounted on a bigger canvas and will have some terrific action setpieces specially designed for it. Not just Tiger, the film's storyline allows the actress to also show her action prowess. So when they were thinking of an action heroine, Katrina's name was the first to pop up and they do feel that Tiger and Katrina's pair will look very good on screen too.”

Talking about Sara, who made her debut with Kedarnath and went on to wow the audience with Simmba and Love Aaj Kal, the source stated, “Sara has not done an action film before but it's not that she can't do it. Sara and Sajid have been in talks to collaborate on a film together and this will be their first, if this turns out to be true.”

Meanwhile, Sara is currently awaiting the release of her upcoming comedy Coolie No. 1 opposite Varun Dhawan and will be seen on the big screen in Atrangi Re. Katrina, on the other hand, will soon shine on the silver screen opposite Akshay Kumar in Sooryavanshi. She will be collaborating with Ali Abbas Zara for a superhero film and will share the screen with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter in Phone Bhoot.
