Himanshi Khurana Opens Up About Body Shaming And Hate Comments; Reveals She Suffered Panic Attacks

Punjabi singer and model Himanshi Khurana was undoubtedly one of the most adored and popular celebrities in the Bigg Boss 13 house. She not only left the audience in awe of her charm and beautiful voice but also won hearts with her mere presence in the reality show. During her journey, Himanshi fell in love, made friends and memories for life, and had a great time. However, there were times that she had to face hate comments from her housemates. Even outside the BB13 house, as a celebrity Himanshi often falls prey to body shaming and trolling.

In a recent chat with ETimes, Himanshi revealed that she is suffering from PCOS. She shared, “I have been trolled a lot on social media. Before and after Bigg Boss 13. I have been body shamed a lot. I have PCOS, whoever doesn't understand it, please go and surf on the internet. Most of the girls go through it. People who know about it will relate with me. During PCOS, your body weight keeps fluctuating. Sometimes you lose so much weight and sometimes you gain a lot of weight.”

That’s not all! The trolling took a toll on her health and she started getting panic attacks. Himanshi stated, “There was a time last month that I started getting panic attacks, then I had to take counselling, I met a psychiatrist. I am mentally very strong and deep down I know that this is show business and I have to take care of myself. It took two weeks of healing to get better. There were people who didn't even know me, but they were still writing nasty things about me and I was very depressed. I thought how can these people be so hateful. How can someone make the other person feel so disgusting that he/she starts hating life.”

However, she decided to take things in her own stride and started thinking positive. She even lost weight and felt better. She concluded, “I am trying very hard to lose weight, but people need to understand the other person.”

Well Himanshi, you’re beautiful inside and out. We wish you all the happiness, success and love in the world!
