Housefull 5: Franchise Favorites Deepika, John, Jacqueline, Kriti & Abhishek To Return With Akshay Kumar In A Mega Budget Comedy

Akshay Kumar's list of upcoming projects is ever-growing and now the actor seems to have added one more title in his kitty. Though this may not come as a big surprise that Akshay is ready to take the Housefull franchise forward with yet another film, Sajid Nadiadwala's plans for this fifth installment however might have you shrieking in excitement.

The superhit comedy franchise has so far tickled the funny bone of the nation with a new ensemble cast with each new film barring Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. Housefull 5 is totally a different ball game if reports are anything to go by.

It looks like the makers have decided to bring together all Housefull franchise favorites together in what seems to be the biggest casting coup for an ensemble film of all time. According to a Pinkvilla report, Deepika Padukone from the original Housefull, Jacqueline Fernandez and John Abraham from Housefull 2, Abhishek Bachchan from Housefull 3, and Kriti Sanon from Housefull 4 will be joining Akshay in this laugh riot called Housefull 5 which is being planned ahead.

A source close to the portal reveals that Housefull 5 is being planned on a huge scale and the cast has been spoken to. Talking about Sajid Nadiadwala’s plans for the project Pinkvilla quotes the source saying, "It will be a huge ensemble cast since all the characters are coming back together for the fifth installment. Sajid along with his team are working on the script and plan to shoot the movie in Imax format. Last films shot in Bollywood in the format include Bahubali & Padmavaat. With this Sajid & Akshay are making their own Comedy Avenger Universe and they plan to go all out for this one.”

Well, if this is indeed true then Housefull 5 could turn out to be the mother of all ensemble comedies in Bollywood.
