Hrithik Roshan And Deepika Padukone Might Just Finally Be A Part Of The Satte Pe Satta Remake

Recently, Hrithik Roshan feeding a chocolate cake to Deepika Padukone as she looked absolutely smitten went viral for all the right reasons. Ever since the video, fans of both the superstars have been clamoring to get them together on-screen and finally, it looks like, their prayers are going to be answered.

As we all know, the fate of Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan’s collaboration, the Satta Pe Satta remake is currently on shaky grounds and now Rajesh Vasani, who holds the original remake rights of the movie is planning to produce it and is planning to get Luv Ranjan on board as a director. For this new remake, the makers are keen on casting Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone as the main leads.

A source close to the development revealed to a major entertainment website, “Now that Farah and Rohit’s movie has been put on the backburner, one has heard that Rajesh Vasani approached Luv Ranjan to direct the remake. Luv is one of the biggest commercial blockbuster directors of today, at par with Rohit Shetty and who else better than him to direct a romantic action drama?”

The source further added, “Luv and Rajesh are also on cordial terms with everybody in Bollywood and advantage is that Luv is already doing a movie with Deepika, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ajay Devgn. Apparently, it was his suggestion that they approach Hrithik again to play the male lead. After all, the actor had loved the characters of the good-hearted elder brother Ravi Anand and the darker yet pivotal character of Babu from the original Satte Pe Satta. Hrithik and Deepika have not done a movie before so this will be a fresh pairing. But everything is still in the nascent stages as talks have just started and nobody is willing to talk about it. If everything goes well, an announcement is expected to be made in January 2020.”

Interestingly, even Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan were initially considering Hrithik and Deepika for the roles that were played by Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in the original 1982 masterpiece.
