Hrithik Roshan today joined in to express his views on the Anti-CAA protests on Twitter and said that he was deeply saddened by the unrest in the various educational institutes. The War actor wrote, “As a parent and a citizen of india , I am deeply saddened by the unrest across various educational institutions of our country. I hope and pray for peace to return as soon as possible. Great teachers learn from their students. I salute the worlds youngest democracy.”

On the same day Varun Dhawan too responded like other celebrities and revealed why he hasn’t spoken about the Anti-CAA protests taking the country by storm. At the trailer launch of his film Street Dancer 3D Varun said, “What’s happening in the country is being reported. The reason why I don’t want to comment exactly on what’s happening is because there are four-five versions floating. We are sitting here in Mumbai, right now something else is happening in other parts of the country. It’s wrong of us to comment about what’s happening over there until we don’t see that, until we are 100 per cent aware what’s happening.”

He, however, condemned the use of force against peaceful protesters and added, “Any kind of force used against peaceful protestors is wrong. We are 100 per cent agreeing with that. Now, other law and order situations which are occurring, the people you named, even they commented about that and said that’s also wrong. There are two sides to it. Right now, it’s such a sensitive matter that it’s easy to speak and say something or to slam someone. When you’re a public personality, people follow you, kids follow you. Once the situation has been studied, I will definitely give my viewpoint concerning something,”

Among the Bollywood celebrities who spoke on the matter are Anurag Kashyap, Swara Bhasker, Huma Qureshi, Farhan Akhtar, Alia Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Ayushmann Khurrana, Twinkle Khanna, Richa Chaddha, Rajkummar Rao among others.
