Sharing an anecdote from his childhood Akshay revealed that he failed in the 7th standard and was beaten up by his father which is when he made up his mind that he would want to be a hero. "I remember when I was being beaten up by my dad for failing class 7... that’s when I said ‘I want to be a hero'”, the actor said at the event.

The actor attended the event with his Good Newwz co-star Kareena Kapoor and even spoke about how he is able to do so many films in a year when his contemporaries end up doing just a film or two. Akshay said that he does four films a year each of which takes about 40 days of filming and by simple calculation, it still leaves him with 205 days in a year with him doing nothing.

“I’m not the kind of actor who can seclude himself inside a hotel room for 2 months. It takes me a day to find my character. It’s just acting. What are you stressing about? Why are people shooting a film for 200 days? I don’t understand it… Mission Impossible was shot in 55 days. What have we done to justify 200 days?” Akshay said at the event.

Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor's Good Newwz is line up for release on 27 December.
