HTLS 2019: MCU’s Dr. Hank Pym Aka Michael Douglas Feels Star Kids Have To Work ‘Twice As Hard’!

Popular Hollywood actor Michael Douglas, along with actress and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones had been present at the 17^th Hindustan Times Leadership Summit. The actor, who was last seen in Avengers Endgame as Dr Hank Pym, had spoken at length about himself and his family life with Zeta-Jones as the event.

Douglas is the son of legendary Hollywood actor, Kirk Douglas. In the session that was moderated by Anil Kapoor, he said that kids whose parents are stars have to work ‘twice as hard’. Addressing the nepotism question thrown to him, he said that he had to struggle to live up to the legacy of his father. He received validation for his work when he was handed over the Academy Award and felt it was important “because I felt like I‘d stepped out of the shadow of my father and created my own identity.”

He also had some advice for star kids. He said, “Be very appreciative and very humble... There are a lot of ways you could grow up in this world.” He listed his secret of success to “Ethics, tenacity and hard work.”

He spoke about wife Catherine Zeta-Jones as well and said that she is indeed obsessed with Om Shanti Om and their kids sing songs from the film in Christmas instead of carols!
