Hulchul 2: Kareena Kapoor Khan And Akshaye Khanna’s Romantic Comedy To Get A Sequel?

There are some films in the history of Bollywood which successfully leave a mark on the audience. Such masterpieces definitely deserve a sequel or a remake. Currently there are many sequels of Bollywood classics that fans are eagerly looking forward to-- like Priyadarshan’s Hungama 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dostana 2. Well, according to latest reports, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshaye Khanna’s 2004 romantic comedy Hulchul is now the latest film which may get a sequel.

That’s right! A report in Pinkvilla revealed that the sequel is in the works, but the cast has not been finalized as of now. A source was quoted saying, “The film is currently in the scripting stage. It is yet unclear if Priyadarshan will be helming the sequel and if any of the original actors will return back for part 2. The development is currently in the nascent stage.” Well, we do wish Kareena and Akshaye return for part two because their comic timing, chemistry and acting chops in the original film were mind-blowing.

For the uninitiated, Hulchul followed the story of two rival families and how the youngest members tricked one another to fall in love. In the end, they developed real feelings for each other and tried to figure out a way to get married. If not Kareena and Akshay, who do you think should star in the sequel?
