There are various kinds of performers in the Hindi film industry. While some prefer to take the tried and tested road, others are brave enough to experiment with new content and characters. Well, Huma Qureshi is one such versatile actress who has successfully won our hearts each time she shined on-screen in a new role. She has been a part of the industry for 9 long years and in this period she has wonderfully grown as an artist with projects such as Gangs of Wasseypur, Leila, Dedh Ishqiya and Badlapur to her credit.

In a recent chat with Bombay Times, Huma was asked about the biggest challenge she faced as an actor. To this the actress replied that having to prove herself with every film she did was a challenge. She explained, “You can’t afford to sit back on your laurels and be happy about it. I have always been someone who wanted to do things my way — even if it meant being unconventional or doing things that were out of the box. I would hate to be a part of similar kind of films. For me, the challenge has always been to find something good and fun to do, it’s something that has kept me excited about my job as an actor.”

Huma further stated, “I take my job very seriously; it has not come to me as a part of a legacy. I have earned whatever I have so far on my own, so, I do whatever I am doing because I love it, and I love acting.” The actress added that she is blessed to have had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented directors and also got the chance to showcase her work on multiple platforms-- may it be films or OTT.

Currently, Huma has many exciting upcoming projects in the pipeline including Bell Bottom, Army of the Dead and Maharani.
