Hungama 2 producer comments on Shilpa Shetty's involvement in Raj Kundra's case: 'She will not do something like that at all'

Shilpa Shetty’s comeback film Hungama 2 was marred by the shadow of controversy after her husband Raj Kundra was arrested as a ‘key conspirator’ in a porn racket in Mumbai busted by the Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police. The actress setting aside her personal issues asked fans on social media to watch the film and not let is suffer.

As Raj Kundra faces some serious charges, questions over Shilpa Shetty’s role in the case have also been raised. Hungama 2’s producer rattan Jain, however, has shown confidence in Shilpa and said that the actress wasn’t someone who would be involved in something such as this.

 "As much as I know Shilpa, she will not do something like that at all. I can't really say, how much did she really know about her husband's business, but I don't think she was involved in it. Any family person should not do this kind of work and jitna main Shilpa ko jaanta hoon woh aisa kaam nahi karegi (I am sure she will not get involved in anything like this). But having said that, one has to leave it to agencies that are investigating the case,” the producer told Times of India in an interview.

Raj Kundra is said to have been allegedly involved in the production of adult films and forcing aspiring actors to feature in these films luring them in with promises of work in web series and films. The content was uploaded on app called ‘Hotshots’ which was created by his company and later sold to a U.K. based firm.

Shilpa and Raj’s home has been raided by the police during investigation and the actress has also recorded her statement in the case. She has reportedly claimed that she wasn’t aware of the content that was being produced.
