Karan Johar is all set to be back as a director. But, if you are thinking about his ambitious project Takht, then you would have to wait a bit. While updates about Takht are not yet known, it is being said that the man would be back in the director's chair for a light-hearted love story, that would go on floors in the next couple of months. And, Gully Boy stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will come together once again for this one.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, the film will go on floors by Summer this year, if everything, especially the COVID situation is alright! What's more, the film would also mark Saif Ali Khan's son, Ibrahim Ali Khan's debut in Bollywood. It won't be his acting debut though. Ibrahim will be the assistant director of the film. A source quoted by the portal said, “There are no plans of launching him at present. He has come on board the film, just because he wants to understand the process of filmmaking. He is a young kid, still studying and yet to even decide if he wants to be an actor, director or something else.”

The source further added, “Karan is all charged up and excited to make something in this space after such a long time. He was exhausted in the pre-production of Takht, and when he decided to put it on the back burner, the sole idea was to let it lose and make a fun commercial rom-com that Bollywood is devoid of at the moment." It was also reported that while Ranveer will sport a modern hero look, Alia's look would be subtle. There has been no official announcement of the film yet!
