Imtiaz Ali On Saif Ali Khan’s Comment On Love Aaj Kal Trailer: “I’d Be Upset If He Said He Liked This Trailer Better”!

In 2009, Saif Ali Khan had paired up with Deepika Padukone for Imitiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal. Cut to 2020, and now Saif’s daughter, Sara Ali Khan will be seen in a film of the same name of the same director, opposite Kartik Aaryan. While it would be a proud moment for any dad to see his daughter grow up and how, Saif seems to be possessive about his work and his films. After the release of the trailer of this Love Aaj Kal, Saif said that he liked the trailer of his film better! Ask Imtiaz Ali about it, and he feels that Saif was emotionally invested in the 2009 version way too much. In fact, he would have been upset had Saif though otherwise!

Talking to Mumbai Mirror, the director said, “Saif was emotionally invested in that film. I would be upset if he’d said he liked this trailer better.” In fact, he also said that even though Saif was the producer and he was the director of the 2009 movie, the situation on the sets used to be different. He said, “Saif was also the producer on that film while I was the director. But it was usually the reverse, with me telling him not to come late, for example. We had an easy equation, and even in a difficult situation, both of us had a connection because we were shameless enough to not let it really bother us."

Well, we are just growing impatient to see the new Love Aaj Kal, which would hit the theatres on 14^th February.
