Indian Idol 11: Sunny Hindustani's Victory Made Gajraj Rao Emotional: Hearing The Story Of Their Pain Our Tears Did Not Stop

Indian Idol 11 winner Sunny Hindustani’s journey has been an one that has impressed one and all. From being a guy who used to polish shoes for a living to bagging a ticket to one of the biggest singing reality shows in the nation and winning millions of hearts performance after performance, one could say he was destined for the glory.

The singer’s audition was talked about by business tycoon Anand Mahindra who shared a post about his journey to Indian Idol 11. Sunny’s winning moment also made Badhaai Ho actor Gajraj Rao emotional who couldn’t resist posting about it even two days after Sunny’s big win on the singing reality show. The actor wrote on Instagram in Hindi, “He used to polish shoes, and Mother used to sell balloons ... But both of them continued to dream ... Their dream came true two days ago ... Hearing the story of their pain and exhilaration, even though our tears did not stop Paaya ... Our salute to the spirit of Sunny Hindustani and thousands of their ilk ... Thank you Sony TV, for setting this stage for unknown artists.”

Gajraj Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Neena Gupta who came back together once again for Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan attended the Indian Idol 11 finale to promote their film.

Sunny Hindustani took home Rs. 25 lakhs and the show has already launched his career as a singer with him having lent his voice for a song in Emraan Hashmi’s The Body.
