Despite Inshallah being shelved, reports suggest that Alia will soon start working on the film tentatively titled Hira Mandi with SLB. The film will be bases on Mumbai’s known underworld figure Gangubai Kothewali and has been adapted from a chapter from Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai.  Since Bhansali already had Alia’s dates for Inshallah, he decided to leave Inshallah aside and focus on Gangubai instead.

According to reports, Bhansali is waiting for the Shraddh to end and the pre-production of the film is supposed to commence from October while the project will go on floor in February. Earlier, Priyanka Chopra was said to be doing the project, but it is Alia who would be playing the role,
