    Irrfan Khan’s death has been a monumental loss to the film industry. The actor who shocked one and all with the news of him suffering from Neuroendocrine cancer two years ago and since the nation had been praying for his recovery. His diagnosis made him move to London for treatment where and also resulted in him opting out of some of the projects he had already committed to.

    Irrfan and Deepika Padukone’s chemistry worked wonders for Piku and fans were excited when a new project featuring two of them was being planned. Back in 2017 there reports of the two actors coming together yet again for Vishal Bharadwaj’s film which the filmmaker had to put on hold after his diagnosis. While Irrfan then hadn’t confirmed he was undergoing treatment for cancer  Vishal has written a note to confirm that the film will only be retrieved after Irrfan’s recovery.

    The film was an offshoot of Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens Of Mumbai many reports called its biopic on Sapna Didi (Ashraf Khan) who was married to a don working for Dawood. She had planned a revenge on the underworld don after he killed her husband and her life fell apart.


    Irrfan who had created waves with his Party anthem with AIB had to back out at the last moment of the comedy group’s web show Gormint which was earlier called Ministry. Irrfan had confirmed he had shot for the show for months but ultimately his health made him bow out.



    Today, on his death AIB penned a heartfelt tribute to the star and all that he stood for as a person.

    There were other projects his name was associated with like a film called Besan which also starred Nimrat Kaur and Anil Kapoor according to some reports and another English project called The Wicked Path which was an adventure drama. Not much has been heard on the project though.

    Bollywood celebs right from Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor to TV stars like Jennifer Winget, Rashami Desai bid the actor par excellence goodbye with a heavy heart. Irrfan was buried at a cemetery in Mumbai by his family. The funeral could not be attended anyone in the industry owning to the lockdown expect Vishal Bhardwaj and Tigmanshu Dhulia.
