    Irrfan Khan’s sudden demise is something that we will be reeling with for a long time to come. The actor’s craft transcended boundaries and Life Of Pi star has carved a niche for himself in Hollywood too. His death is being mourned by his Hollywood co-stars including Natalie Portman, Chris Pratt and Angelina Jolie.

    Irrfan starred in Angelina starrer A Mighty Heart where he played a police officer from Karachi. IANS quoted the actress saying, "I had the privilege of working with Irrfan Khan on the set of A Mighty Heart. He stood out for his generosity as an artist, which made it a pleasure to work in any scene with him. I remember the intensity of his commitment, and equally his smile. I send my condolences and my sympathy to his family, his friends, and all admirers of his work, in India and around the world." 

    Jurassic World star Chris Pratt too tweeted mourning the death of the Indian actor, “So sad to hear about the passing of screen legend @irrfank Irrfan Khan played Masrani in Jurassic World. He was an exquisite actor and human. He will be missed.”


    Natalie Portman, Irrfan Khan’s New York, I Love You co-star too remembered him in a social media post and wrote, "Sending love to Irrfan Khan's loved ones today." 

    Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (Oscars) paid a tribute to Irrfan Khan and tweeted, “A mainstay of Bollywood cinema and incredible talent in films like Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi and The Namesake, Irrfan Khan left his imprint on global cinema. An inspiration to millions, he will be greatly missed.”

    Irrfan Khan had been suffering from Neuroendocrine cancer for the last two years and had undergone treatment in London. The breathed his last on April 29 morning and passed away due to a colon infection in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital.
