It’s only been a few months since Bollywood and the nation lost two big stars Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor to cancer in just 24 hours and now the news of Sanjay Dutt’s cancer diagnosis has the nation worried. The 61 year old actor is battling with stage 4 of lung cancer and was diagnosed only recently after he was urgently admitted to the hospital due to complaints of breathlessness and chest pain.

The actor is now undergoing preliminary treatment in Mumbai’s Kokilaben hospital and now Irrfan Khan’s son Babil has in a post requested the media to let the actor ‘fight this without anxiety of media’.

Sharing a black and white photo of Sanjay Dutt and Irrfan Khan, Babil wrote, “Sanju Bhai was one of the first people to offer help in all and every way when my father was diagnosed, after Baba passed, Sanju bhai was again one of the very first few people that held a pillar for support.”

Speaking on the Sadak 2 actor’s cancer diagnosis he says, “Please; I beg you, let him fight this without anxiety of media, you must remember we’re talking bout Sanju baba here, he is a tiger, a fighter, the past doesn’t define you but it sure does evolve you and I know this will be over with Sanju Baba smashing hits again.”

Sanjay Dutt after learning his health condition announced a break from movies while he still has quite a few projects lined up to complete. His wife Manayata Dutt confirmed that the actor is undergoing preliminary treatment in Mumbai and is later expected to fly to the U.S. for advanced treatment.
