Irrfan Khan's Son Babil Says He Doesn't Want To Star In Films Which Make Rs. 100 Crs. & Have No Artistic Value

Late actor Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar and son Babil last week stepped out for the first time since the actor’s demise last year to attend a special screening of his film Paan Singh Tomar. The movie was screened by the International Film Festival Of India which is going on in Goa as a tribute to the legendary actor.

Babil on the sideline of IFFI spoke to Bollywood Hungama about his plans of making his debut and said that he’s not interested in acting in film that is aimed at the 100 crore club. "I have to do it the right way. I don't want to do a big movie in which I am dancing, it makes a 100 crore and has no artistic value. My intention is to take his ( Irrfan Khan’s) legacy forward. Not to become a star. It has to be done in the right way,” he said in the interview.

Irrfan’s son is often seen remembering his late father through his posts on social media. In one the aspiring movie actor shared a picture of a book cover of Actors on Acting signed by the late actor.

The post prompted a few of his followers to ask him about his own plans about following on his father’s footsteps and becoming an actor. Babil promptly responded saying he’s already an actor but hasn’t ventured into films yet, "I am already in the field of acting; when I will appear in a film is the question. Once I have graduated around May, I will start looking into offers."

He also clarified that he will make his debut in Indian cinema.
