Jaideep Ahlawat became a known personality after starring in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012), and from there on the Rockstar actor has been seen in films like Commando: A One Man Army, Raees, Baaghi 3, Raazi, and his latest Khaali Peeli

Jaideep has completed his 10 years in the film industry this year. Gangs of Wasseypur who hails from Haryana has made his own mark in the industry, he recalls thinking about an alternative career option initially apart from acting.

While speaking about this, Jaideep says, it was his dream to be in the Indian Army. He tells Times Of India, “I wanted to join the army, but after several failed attempts I gave up on my dream." Jaideep then turned to acting but today when he recalls the time, he says, “Sometimes I do think about my first career choice and sometimes I do miss being in the Indian Army.”

Talking about the tensions going on between India and neighboring countries, He said “Ji aisa nahi hai ke mera khoon khaulta hai. Army ka matlab khoon khaulna nahi hota. In fact the army is known to make intelligent moves. They always take smart decisions. If you are the strongest one, you will always avoid war. You know battle se kitne logon ki jaan jaati hai. So, army hameesha dimag se kaam leti hai. Khoon tab khaulati hai jab jung shuru hoti hai.”
