Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra to romance in Kayoze Irani's feature film debut?

Janhvi Kapoor is the star of Kayoze Irani’s first directorial feature film according to reports. The Roohi actress will be seen in an emotional romantic comedy produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions banner. The film apparently came to Janhvi after two films she had already signed with the banner are in the doldrums.

The actress was roped in for Dostana 2 which is struck after the film’s lead actor Kartik Aaryan exited the project. She also has Mr. Lele which also stars Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar has failed to get going due to the pandemic, and therefore, Janhvi is being compensated with a third project which is Kayoze’s film according to a Filmfare report.

The Student of the Year actor, who later went on to direct a short film in the acclaimed Netflix anthology Ajeeb Dastaans, is now working to finales the lead actor for his Dharma film. He is apparently choosing between his former co-stars Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra and is more inclined to cast the latter opposite Janhvi.

After having made her debut with Dharma Productions in the 2018 film Dhadak, Janvhi went on to headline another film of the banner, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. Kayoze’s film will be her third if all works out, unlike the other two stalled projects.
