Janhvi Kapoor To Trolls: If You Think My Gym Shorts Are Too Short, You Probably Don’t Sweat As Much As I Do

The beautiful and supremely talented Janhvi Kapoor began her journey in the magical land of cinema in 2018 with Karan Johar’s romantic drama Dhadak, opposite Ishaan Khatter. Her second and much awaited project, horror film Ghost Stories, recently released and the actress is currently on cloud 9 thanks to amazing reviews. While she is one the most adored star kids in the industry and has a huge fan base, Janhvi has often fallen prey to social media trolls.

In a recent chat with iDiva, the actress shared how she keeps a positive mindset and said, “You have to be brave to put yourself out there. In the beginning it was really weird, but I have gotten used to the social media hate. I am just trying to be as authentic as possible.” She made an extremely great point when she went on to add, “I don’t care if you think I am wearing too much makeup, even though I am not. If you think my gym shorts are too short, then you probably don’t sweat on your legs as much as I do. I am sorry, my sweat glands work like that. You probably don’t work out as much as I do.”

Janhvi is one of those celebrities who are comfortable in their skin and has made many appearances rocking a makeup-free look. Interestingly, she revealed that her late mother and superstar Sridevi did not allow her to wear makeup when she was younger. She stated, “When I was a teenager, it was so exciting to go to an event, because I would get a blow dry. Usually, my mom wouldn’t even let us use a conditioner because she thought it was bad for the hair. So, if I got to wear kajal, and get my hair blow dried, it was the biggest joy. I wouldn’t wash my hair for days after, just so that I could keep it looking like that.” Janhvi concluded, “I wasn’t really allowed to wear makeup until a couple of years ago. And now that I have to wear makeup as part of work, I am sick of it.”

Meanwhile, on the professional front the actress is gearing up for her exciting upcoming films which include Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena’s biopic, horror comedy Roohi Afzana opposite Rajkummar Rao and KJo’s Dostana 2 alongside Kartik Aaryan and Lakshya.
