Majethia Speaks On Producers Being Blamed For COVID-19 Cases

JD Majethia Feels People Pulling Up Producers For The Coronavirus Positive Cases On Sets Is Unfair

With the shoots resuming in the TV industry,  there's heightened fear of the cast and crew of various shows contacting COVID-19. Actor Parth Samthaan of Kasautii Zindagii Kay recently tested positive for the disease just a few days after he returned to shoot on sets. Following Parth’s diagnosis, Ekta Kapoor decided to stall the shoot of the show.

IFTPC chairman (TV And Web wing) JD Majethia feels that the bitterness producers are being faced with due to the situation is uncalled for especially because the number of artistes that have fallen ill is very less.

He has been quoted by Mid-Day as saying, "Around 80 shows are being shot across Mumbai with 7,000 people getting back to work. It has been 21 days since we resumed, and only four cases have been reported, so far. So, the way people are pulling up producers is unfair."
