Jee Le Zara to feature a crossover sequence with ZNMD, Hrithik, Farhan and Abhay to make a cameo?

Farhan Akhtar will soon be back in director’s seat and he has already made the year of his fans by announcing an all female cast road-trip film, Jee Le Zara. Well, the project is apparently all about to get a little more exciting as reports suggest that Farhan plans to add a Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara cast cameo in the film.

Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara was widely successful as a road trip film in 2011 in which Farhan acted alongside Hrithik Roshan and Abhay Deol while Zoya Akhtar directed the film. An India Today report, the makers have planned a ZNMD cross-over in mind and a special scene in Jee Le Zara will have Hrithik, Farhan and Abhay making a cameo appearance along with the leading ladies of the film Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.

Interestingly, Katrina was also a part of ZNMD and featured as a scuba diving instructor and Hrithik’s love interest in the film. Will the makers refer to this connection as she plays a lead in Jee Le Zara will be something fans can certainly look forward to seeing.

Farhan recently spilled the beans on making the all-female cast road trip film and told Mid-Day, “Whether it’s a drama, comedy or thriller, [there should be] films made about women. That balance is healthy for the creative world. Where you have the male point of view, you also have the female point of view on things. Emotionally, the construct of the two is similar [on a certain plane] yet different. To see the world through women’s eyes is important in popular culture. The more we [embrace] it, the healthier it will be for society.”

The project is likely to go on floors in the second half of 2022 and will be releases in 2023 in cinemas.
