Jersey Remake: Shoot Of Shahid Kapoor-Mrunal Thakur Starrer Deferred Due To Ongoing Protests

The film industry seemed to have been divided about the Farmers' Protests of late. When it began, Kangana Ranaut not just tweeted against it, but also demeaned an elderly woman and spread misinformation. Diljit Dosanjh and later more celebs came out and voiced their opinion, against her and also stood by the farmers in their protest. Now, the ongoing situation has caused a delay in the shoot of Shahid Kapoor- Mrunal Thakur starrer Jersey remake.

According to a report in Mid Day, three days of shoot remains to be done before the film can be wrapped up. A source was quoted saying, "Days into the shoot in Chandigarh, the makers felt it would be difficult to pull off the remaining shoot amid the current scenario. So, the team quickly changed their plan and headed to Dehradun last week. Shahid, Mrunal Thakur and the cast will film certain portions in the Uttarakhand capital over the next few days and will return to Chandigarh in the last leg of the schedule. They have about three days' work left in the city."

There has been no official confirmation of the same from the film's spokesperson. The film would be the remake of the Telugu hit film starring Nani. It also stars Pankaj Kapur.
