Not Ranbir Kapoor And Nargis Fakhri But These Two Actors Were The First Choice For Rockstar!

Shockingly, Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar, which starred Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri in the lead roles, was supposed to be done by actors John Abraham and Saumya Tandon, who featured in Jab We Met as Roop. The actress recently revealed that she had met Imtiaz Ali for the lead role of Rockstar when he was searching for a Kashmiri looking girl.

Saumya said that Jab We Met was her first project and she didn’t know then that this film would become an iconic one. She revealed, “I had met Imtiaz Ali when he was supposed to do Rockstar with John Abraham and he was looking for a Kashmiri looking girl and that's how I had actually met Imtiaz and then after that Jab We Met happened, so when I was supposed to meet him for Jab We met in his office I was a little skeptical and I was thinking in my mind that first I had met him for a lead role and now I am meeting him for a very small role”.

Further speaking about it she said that when she met him the second time for her stint in Jab We Met, she wasn’t sure about doing a cameo role as earlier she approached him for the lead role for Rockstar. However, after reading the script she decided to take up the project. She said, “When I look back I feel that I did that film on a chance and I feel that in our generation if we had to pick up one film which was the best romantic film it would be Jab We met for sure”.
