John Abraham Confirmed For Ajith Thala’s Vedalam’s Hindi Remake; Film To Be Directed By Rohit Dhawan!

Back in the 90s, a David Dhawan film meant that Govinda would be the hero. Their Jodi had been touted as one of the most successful director-actor jodis of all times. Cut to the present era and we might have something similar with Rohit Dhawan and John Abraham. Rohit, who is the eldest son of David Dhwan and Varun Dhawan’s younger brother, is all set to make his third film and John Abraham has been confirmed as the male lead in this one too, just like his previous films Desi Boyz and Dishoom!

Yes, John Abraham is all set to be step into Thala Ajith’s shoes for the official Hindi remake of Vedalam. He was in the consideration for quite some time and today, a source close to the film has confirmed Mumbai Mirror that John will indeed be a part of the film. Talking to the tabloid, the source said, ““The team will go on recce in a couple of months. The idea is to shoot in real locations to capture the local flavour. A small portion will be canned outside the city as well.”

The makers are yet to finalise the lead actresses of the film. In the original, there were two lead female stars. The same source added, “The two actresses are integral to the narrative and the makers are looking to cast strong performers for both the parts.”

It was apparently Bhushan Kumar who took the script to John and he instantly loved it. Apart from this film, John Abraham has a number of projects at hand. He will be seen in Mumbai Saga, Satyameva Jayate 2, Ek Villain 2 and Attack.
