John Abraham To Step Into Thala Ajith’s Shoes In Vedalam’s Hindi Remake?

The 2015 Tamil film Vedalam might not have been the best film of the year or did not even impress critics that much, but it sure was a film that connected with the audiences. Thanks to Thala Ajith’s presence, it was more or less a one-man show and his ardent fans made sure that the film becomes successful. And now, following the trend of remaking films from the south, we will also have the Bollywood remake of Vedalam, and John Abraham will reportedly play the lead in this one!

According to a report by Ahmadabad Mirror, a source close to the development of the film has claimed that the remake will be made by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. The source claimed, “Bhushan loved the original and has spoken to John about making it in Hindi. John has agreed to be a part of the film; however, the signing formalities are still being closed. The Hindi version will be adapted in a way that will appeal to a pan-Indian audience, while the makers are still on the lookout for a director. Once the final script is locked and a director is on board, the team will begin casting for the rest of the parts alongside other pre-production formalities.” 

Well, this would not be the only time that Vedalam would be remade. In 2018, it was remade in Bengali as Sultan: The Saviour that starred famous actor Jeet. John Abraham will be seen in Batla House, Pagalpanti and Satyameva Jayate 2.
