Juhi Chawla happy to see daughter Jahnavi & SRK's son Aryan take interest in IPL: 'Our children had taken over, what we had started'

Juhi Chawla who is the co-owner of the Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders along with Shah Rukh Khan has opened about the actor’s son Aryan and her daughter Jahnavi taking keen interest in the team. The actress while referring to the two star kid being spotted at the IPL auctions earlier this year, said that she couldn’t be happier that their kids had ‘taken over’ what she and Shah Rukh started.

“I was so glad the children are taking a keen interest in the team. They are not being pushed to do this, they are doing it because they truly wish to. They both keenly follow the sport. Jahnavi wakes up at odd hours of the night, to watch cricket matches in different parts of the world,” Juhi Chawla told Indian Express in an interview.

While Aryan Khan had hit headlines for being present at the auction earlier in the year, Juhi revealed that her otherwise shy daughter who stays away from the limelight was also present at the event. She said Jahnavi is a big fan of the sport and regularly follows IPL.

“When Jahnavi discusses cricket, her whole being lights up. I am always shocked at how aware of the technicalities of the sport she is. When I saw the picture of the two of them at the auction, I was so grateful to God that in their own unique way, and with their own free will, our children had taken over, what we had started,” Juhi added.

Aryan Khan has a fan base of his own and these followers are anticipating his Bollywood debut soon. The star kid had made his voice debut with Shah Rukh Khan in 2019 with the live action movie Lion King where he leant his voice for the Hindi dub as Simba.
