Kangana Ranaut Accuses Twitter Of Racism After Her Account Gets Suspended; Platform Claims Repeated Policy Violation

Kangana Ranaut's rather active Twitter account has now been suspended permanently said a spokesperson of the social media platform. This censorship no doubt did not go down well with the actress who doesn’t hold back under criticism.

The actress had been tweeting about the post-election political clashes in West Bengal before her account was taken down and had demanded President’s rule in the state. Kangana released a statement post her account statement and said that the action was in line with the ‘entitlement’ white Americans to ‘enslave’ brown people.

“Twitter has only proved my point they're Americans & by birth, a white person feels entitled to enslave a brown person, they want to tell you what to think, speak or do. I have many platforms I can use to raise my voice, including my own art in the form of cinema. But my heart goes out to the people of this nation who have been tortured, enslaved, and censored for thousands of years, and still, there is no end to the suffering,” ANI quoted Kangana saying.

A spokesperson for Twitter alleged repeated flouting of Twitter rules by the actress and said that her account had been permanently suspended for violating their ‘hateful conduct policy’ and ‘abusive behaviour policy’.

“We’ve been clear that we'll take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm. The account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically our Hateful Conduct policy&Abusive Behaviour policy,” the Twitter spokesperson told ANI.
